    • Ephesians 1:11-12 In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will: That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ.
  • Immutable - Does not Lie - Hope Set Before Us - Anchor
    • Hebrews 6:17-20 Wherein God, willing more abundantly to shew unto the heirs of promise the immutability of his counsel, confirmed it by an oath: That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us: Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil; Whither the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus, made an high priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.

Salvation History - Past, Present, and Future

Salvation History - Past, Present, and Future

God's Faithfulness to all Mankind- to All Generations

Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me, Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:

I have declared the former things from the beginning; and they went forth out of my mouth, and I shewed them; I did them suddenly, and they came to pass. Because I knew that thou art obstinate, and thy neck is an iron sinew, and thy brow brass; I  have even from the beginning declared it to thee; before it came to pass I shewed it thee: lest thou shouldest say, Mine idol hath done them, and my graven image, and my molten image, hath commanded them.

  1. God Has a plan
    • Before the foundation of the world, God's determinate counsel had a plan for the redemption of mankind - a reconciling of man to God. God wanted a people for Himself. Acts 2:23-24; Eph 1; Rev 13:8; Ex 19:4-6
  2. God speaks the plan
    • Hebrews 1:1 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,
    • Time-line

  3. God executes the plan
    • God Demonstrates His plan through the nation of Israel- Genesis chapters 11-25- the call and birthing of God's chosen nation - Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, 12 sons/ tribes
  4. God accomplishes the plan
    • The Promis of the Redeemer - Gen. 3:15
    • But Now Jesus - Romans 3:21-26
    • Birth, Ministry, Death, Burial, Resurrection- Gospels
    • John 19:30 When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.
    • John 14:2-3 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.  And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
  5. God completes the plan
    • Revelations 21:3-7 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful. And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.
    • Revelations 22:12-13 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.
Acts 15:18
Known unto God are all his works from the beginning of the world.

Be careful what You Hear

There is an old song that many of you will remember.

Be Careful Little Eyes What You See

Oh, be careful little eyes, what you see.
Oh, be careful little eyes, what you see.
There’s a Father up above, looking down in love,
So be careful little eyes, what you see.

Be careful little ears what you hear
Oh, be careful little ears, what you hear.
There’s a Father up above, looking down in Love,
So be careful little ears, what you hear.

Be careful little mouth what you say
Oh, be careful little mouth, what you say.
There’s a Father up above, looking down in tender love,
So be careful little mouth, what you say.

Be careful little hands, what you touch
Oh, be careful little hands, what you touch.
There’s a Father up above, looking down in tender love,
So be careful little hands, what you touch.

Be careful little feet, where you go
Oh, be careful little feet, what you go.
There’s a Father up above, looking down in tender love,
So be careful little feet, what you go.

This song talks about your eyes, ears, mouth, hands, and feet. I have seen a post going around lately that made me think of this song.

This post is explaining how what we listen to gives birth to what we will have in the future.
Look at Romans 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Note that the faith required to please God originates from hearing the Word of God. Faith is conceived when we use our ears to hear the Word of God.

Similarly, doubt is conceived when we use our ears to listen to negative things.

So be careful little ears and big ears what you hear. Don't listen to the wrong people speaking negativity into your life. Instead listen to the Word of God. The Word of God is life to those who hold fast to it.

Philippians 2:10-18

  • That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
  • And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
  • Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.
  • For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.
  • Do all things without murmurings and disputings:
  • That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;
  • Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain.
  • Yea, and if I be offered upon the sacrifice and service of your faith, I joy, and rejoice with you all.
  •  For the same cause also do ye joy, and rejoice with me.
